Seju’s mission is to honour traditional mosaic by infusing it with personal meaning and modern expression.

Working entirely by hand, she uses each fragment to tell stories of emotion, memory, and connection. Her work bridges the gap between what was and what is, inviting viewers to find beauty in both.

Craft, study, and practice

I’m Seju, a mosaic artist based in Antwerp and originally from India. My journey with mosaic began in 2012, when I shifted from painting to working with hand-cut materials and immediately felt at home in the medium.

Since then, I’ve completed both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Mosaic at the Academie Wilrijk in Antwerp. I now create original artworks, take on custom commissions, and teach workshops and one-on-one classes.

My work combines traditional mosaic techniques with personal expression. Each piece is made by hand, using glass, smalti, marble, ceramic, and reclaimed materials that are placed with close attention to color, texture, and emotion.
